Art Journal Flip - Mini Art Journal

What do you do when you want to work with glitter?  You make a mini art journal that you can create and play in as you check out the video above.

I love creating art journals and finding ways to add all the amazing toppers and papers that I have.  In this journal I have been experimenting with glitter and using stencils, don't think I will ever run out of glitter, but it does get every where - even saw some on the dogs face!

If you love creating with papers and glitter having a small journal that you can add to on a regular basis can be enjoyable and be part of your artist date!  You also get a sneak peek of an art journal that I went to town with the glitter on lol!

This one had to be created in layers to allow it to dry, but it was a lot of fun.

100 Handmade Foam Stamps - WE DID IT!!!

I achieved the goal of creating 100 Handmade Foam Stamps as part of the #dothe100dayproject!!  This is my 100th Stamp...

What always amazes me is the different emotions that you feel along the way for any challenge.  At the start you have doubts and wonder if you can finish, midway you can sometimes feel fed up and not sure if you can go on.  At the finish line you can feel as if you could quite easily do another 100 days!

Looking back from this vantage point it feels as if the time has gone really quickly.  I look back to when I started a little over 3 months ago and start to wonder about all the other challenges I could get myself to do and all the things that I could achieve in that time.

I think one of the good things was knowing that others were doing the challenge too, all be it different projects, but you had others who knew what it was like to make that 100 day commitment and share their ups and downs as well.

Here are all the stamps that I shared over the 100 days

The stamps were all made from recycled foam or thin sheet of craft foam that had been layered.  I will be making some of the designs available on my Etsy store and Course Platform

Let me know if you took the challenge and how you found it, are you going to do another, take a break, how do you feel now you have completed it?

Glue Gun Review

How many glue guns do you possess?  If you have been using them for years like I have you will know that it is easy to go through a range of glue guns until you find the one you really like and need for your uses.  In the video below I share with you some of the ones that I have used.

I do have my eye on another one I saw in the hardware store but I will have to save up and take another look just to make sure I wasn't enamored by the 'new store syndrome'

Check out the review below.

While you are there you can also check out some cool ways to create your own stencils using a glue gun.

Glue Gun Stencils

You can make the glue guns to the size that you choose and custom them for a particular project that you may have.

Glue gun stencils - Amanda Trought

You can use them with spray paints that you may have, brushes and sponges will also work.  Let me know what your favorite stencil that you have made is.

I have also used the glue gun to create outlines for art journals and paintings.

They are in the long run economical to use because you are create the stencil to suit your needs, and can be used in a variety of other projects.  They are also unique to you which is great especially if you are planning on selling your work further on down the line.

I would love to see what kind of designs you can come up with for your glue gun stencils.

Stay blessed and be a blessing!
