I love books, always have, the touch, smell, sound of the crisp pages as they turn. Amazed at what you can learn, insights you can reflect on. Places that you can travel to within the words as they weave stories of uncharted places. I am grateful that I have an appreciation for books that has been passed down to my son.
What is one of your favourite books?
I love the book "PS I LOVE YOU"
ReplyDeleteYvonne.
Not heard of that one, sounds like it is a good read.
DeleteJust ONE book?!
ReplyDeleteI need about one HUNDRED favorite books! :-)
I know what you mean, I have so many genres that I like reading, to choose one would be a very difficult task.
DeleteI've recently enjoyed Stephanie Dowrick, 'Seeing the Sacred'. I too love 'real' books, that can be touched, smelt and page-turned.
ReplyDeleteJuliet, yeh I am with you, though have been smitten with my kindle that allows me to carry so many books around at the same time.
DeleteHi Amanda .. I love books and always want to keep a hold on one or two - over the years I've managed to .. sometimes they get lost and then I have to remember the book and buy another copy!
ReplyDeleteReference books are my favourite and I have lots around the house ... I have a scatter gun approach to reading ..
So pleased your son has developed your love of books - that's great ..
Cheers and have a peaceful Sunday .. Hilary
Hilary, I still have copies of my favorite books from several years ago, these are the ones that you can read again and again and still see something new. I do like and have many reference books too, and also psychology, health and garden related.
