Book Reviews Return

Book Reviews

I have been doing quite a bit of reading since I brought my Kindle.  The idea that you can carry around hundreds of books at a time and have your pick of what you decide to read is great.  I haven't shared my reviews for a while and will be picking this back up in a few weeks time.  I thought I would share with you some of the books that I have read so far, and the review is available on Amazon or my Creative Writing Blog.

Every few weeks I will be reviewing a book that I have either brought or have been asked to review.  I will share what I found interesting about it, and a bit about the author.  Where possible we may also do a video review which will also be available on Amazon for you to see.

Books so far...

Word for the Week - Ephesians 5:15

I will be very careful how I live, not as the unwise but as wise making the most of every opportunity because these days are evil.  I will not be foolish but understand what the Lords will is... Ephesians 5:15

As you meditate on the scripture and enjoy the image ask and think about the many gifts you have been given, the many challenges you face, and the fruit that will come from the work of your hands.

Words and images for the week, to bless, encourage and inspire you to be all that you have been called to be.
What will you do with what you have been given today?

Stay blessed and be a blessing

What's in the Bag? New painting

I do like bags and if you look through my Pinterest board  I have a wide variety of bags that I like the look of each with its own look to fit the particular occasion.

I have gone from carrying small ones to quite large ones and I think I have always been one of those people who needs those 'just in case' items.  I usually end up with a back or shoulder ache and so have to cull the contents of my bag, there has to be a balance..

I don't think the trolley route is going to work for me at the moment, though I've brought one for my mum and it comes in handy when I do her shopping and don't want to take the car, there are some nice designs that I have seen around.  My son calls them Granny Trollies, though I have seen a wide range of ages use them, perhaps they are coming back in fashion and I could start a trend,  Have a look at some of the ones I have collected on my Shopping Trolly board.

As a creative, you could even get a plain looking trolley and decorate it with stencils and art work.  I am going to have a look into that, they could look quite funky.

This painting that I recently completed was inspired by the bag and that feeling of joy as you break in a new bag or find one that suits all your needs (if there is one)!  Stay blessed!

Gratitudes and Celebration - Prayerfulness - Week 63

Gratitude’s and Celebration

I think it is important to be thankful in all things, most importantly that we have breath for another day, but also for the things that we can’t see that bring blessings, change, new opportunities and grace into our lives.

Prayer is important to me, I pray to God who I have confidence exists, and who as far as I am concerned created me in his image to be all that I can be.  Prayer is a continual thing, not just for one day a week but for every day, each and every moment, and in every circumstance.

I pray for my family, friends and I pray for people I don’t know.  When I see an ambulance I pray for whoever they have been called out for that God touches their lives and they are healed, prayer is key.

Gratitude's and Celebration Journal

Today I am grateful and celebrate that I can pray, that I have the freedom to be able to pray openly and talk about my faith without fear.

I look forward to the journey and hope you come along and join me. Why not start your own journal, keep it as simple or complex as you wish, but do something!
