Realityarts Podcast - Episode 30 - Creating in Faith, The knowledge that you have

The word for today is Knowledge.  What is that you know about the tools, the supplies and the techniques that you use?

We look at ways in which we could be creative and how we can sometimes get 'stuck', and one of the ways around it is by doing something totally different.

What is it you know about the way in which you approach your creativity and do you see growth.  Are there things that you need to change or add for you to use your creativity across the board.

We can think about the messages that we are trying to share from our work and also the impact that it can have on the viewer if you are a visual artist.  When we know our tools inside and out it frees us to be able to experiment fully - using our equipment to the fullest.

Looking forward to connecting with you, let me know how you are getting on.

Creating in Faith - Kindred - What do you feel connected to?

This weeks word is Kindred on the Realityarts Podcast Episode 29 of Creating in Faith.  Check out the podcast episode HERE

What do you feel connected to in regards to your creativity? Is it a supply, technique, way of doing things? Are you part of a group of artists, do you have someone to share your joy with?

We often think about our connections and the impact they make to our lives as well as the impact that we make on others. When you think of your creativity how is that manifesting itself within your work. We can sometimes be really connected to a particular art supply because it enables us to express ourselves and the things that are on our hearts.

I found I during the first stages of the 'global event' I was guided to sewing. I found the simple stitches to be surprisingly therapeutic and still do. I was able to quiet down all the chatter and just focus on being present.

It is a good idea to think about your creative activity that will be that for you when you need it. You also need to allow yourself the space to explore what it could be.

What information do you need to access to do what you need to do?

It is important to listen while we create so that we can really hear through our senses what wants to be manifested. Do not judge the particular activity that you are being inspired to do, just go with the flow and enjoy that moments creative activity and maybe even schedule the regular time for yourself?  Join me on the podcast today.
As we take a look at moving forward in our art and creativity how does the word 'Kindred' impact on you and your world and how you move through it.

I look forward to hearing your thoughts....

Realityarts Podcast - New Episode for Creating in Faith

Welcome to a new week of creativity.  The word that starts us off this week in Creating in Faith is 'Quiet'.  I started the Creating in Faith series as a reminder first to myself that each and every day I need to show up and do something creative.

When we show up in faith, we are met with ideas, strategies, revelations, answers and more!

When was the last time you actually had a moment of quiet to gather your thoughts?  Are you able to take time out of your day just to think or are you one of those people who say they think better when there is stuff going on around them?

Join me on Wednesday for the Arts and Wellness Café where we will look at the idea of quiet in the art studio and in our creative walk.

Creating in Faith - Discernment - Podcast Episode

The new podcast episode for Creating in Faith and the word for the week is Discernment

How do you see your creativity, do you have time to reflect and look at your direction and think about where you want to go, what tools you want to use and how you want to use them?

Very often we can find reasons for not moving in the direction we want, and one of the biggest reasons is that we just didn't think it was possible or had not given it much thought.

You can also join me for Arts and Wellness Café where we will look at the word even more and ways it can benefit our creative journey.  Take a look at last weeks word which was about being mindful in your creative journey.

As always, stay blessed and be a blessing

This is where Cole plants himself, directly behind me so I have to step over him to get passed.  I built a barrier of boxes which he is not amused by and every now and then he jumps over and is practically sitting in my lap!

These are the hand made books that I made at my book binding course, it was really great, all in all we made 5 different books an I try and make sure that I make at least one every few weeks.

Art Journal Page Technique

Art Journals/books I made in Book binders course
I love making my own books and quite often make them out of alternative materials - fabric, recycled, old prospectus and more.  There is always a wealth of materials available for you to work with.
