Mixed Media Art Collaboration

In the Mixed media art collaboration today, I share how you can create this art journal cover.  You create some lovely texture on the surface and it looks gorgeous.  You only need a few supplies.  We gather every second Tuesday of the month and share a mixed media art project.

Messy May 10 Day - Prompt 'Connection'

It is Day 10 for Messy May organized by Get Messy Art Journal with the prompt being Connection I decided to bring together all the elements from mixed media that I love, and have missed doing for one reason or the next.  I worked in the mini Art journal that I created and added background color, and stitches in the pages.  Because of the size I was able to work on a few pages.

I used ephemera that I had previously created, also left over scraps that had been used in other projects, these had either paint on them already.  

I had brought some new embroidery threads, so this was a great place to try them out without having to commit to working on a large project.

I also added some small stamps to the page as well, and this can also add some lovely elements when you layer different supplies.

Handmade Foam Stamps - Todays Stamp

Created from thin foam, cut into the shapes and layered.  You can create some interesting designs using the foam in this way
