You took much more for granted in your younger years and thought you had a never ending supply to dip in and out of at will. As an artist I have a vision of where I want my career to take me, things I'll create and collaborations that I will make. I see my son one day starting a family, pursuing his career doing more with his writing and piano and we see the dreams that loved ones have unfold as time goes by.
I celebrate my life today that I can still dream and take steps to achieving those things that dwell in my heart, that I can reach out and inspire and motivate others with words and images. Are you where you want to be, and what steps do you now need to take?
Painting for the day
Each day I will show a completed piece of art or journal page hope you enjoy today's
Sketch - playing with pastels
Blog Love
I am sharing some love with those who are also taking part in the
challenge, it's not everyone whose blog starts with the letter V, but a
few of them for you to start with....
First thanks for taking the trouble to read quite of my posts.
ReplyDeleteAs my life is today it wasn't how I thought it would be( if you read my W post) you will understand.Life do change , it changes gradually then all of a sudden you notice.
Yvonne.
Yvonne, I am really enjoying your posts, will take a look at W. The gradual changes are the ones you really do need to take notice of so that you can make adjustments before its too late..
DeleteI agree that time seems to go quicker and quicker. So does my memory:) I just turned 36 a couple of days ago and I was commenting to my husband that I still don't feel like an adult. Like what I thought being an adult should feel like. Maybe I'll never feel that adult feeling that I conjured up as an adolescent. I think that I'm okay with that. Great post.
ReplyDeleteJaime at Awakenings and Reflections
Jaime, Happy belated birthday, I know what you mean I think inside the turning point for me was about 36, years on I still feel 36 inside and with the push from society to be forever young its really hard to tell how old someone is anymore.
DeleteI believe we are all where we are meant to be. You painting intrigues me today. There's something about the eyes...they're so sad and reveal an uncertain certainty...
ReplyDeleteWhen I was sketching it it reminded me of a close friend who passed 2 years ago, I have mentioned her in my posts (Barbara), she was the one who encouraged me to try pastels, she was very good.
DeleteHi Amanda .. the world is now ahead of me and I am looking forward to it. So good to see you're remembering a friend who was encouraging to you with your art ... I love the sketch "Playing with Pastels" .. the lady is looking right at us .. and her colours are gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteCheers Hilary
Hilary, there is so much ahead of you, it is quite exciting, I am looking forward to getting familiar with new techniques and equipment.
